If I'm now nominated for the "Golden Pig" award for this year's most chauvinistic statement on the Ledge, so be it.
P.S. And I totally agree with Romy - if she really had these tapes, McCartney wouldn't have hesitated for a single second and paid her a lot, just to make sure she doesn't destroy his image with the recordings. Instead he said "Bring them on", and he knows why.

I dont think you are being chauvinistic at all
Im not saying Heather is blameless, all Im saying is I dont understand the automatic assumption that SHE'S the one at fault

Again, I said I can certainly see a depressed man being drunk/violent/abusive. I dont think Paul is a bad person at ALL! I've always admired the man! But there may be more to this than meets the eye ya know?
As for Paul being willing to pay any price to make her go away, I think in the beginning that was what he said he would do...and it looked like they were pretty close to actually settling amicably. Why she's now trotting out these tapes I dont know, but I think its a safe bet to say she is upping the ante and is very well aware of what she's up against, Im sure of it.
