Peter definately didn't want the guitar hero tag after he did earn the it. Like Clapton actually did fairly often in the 70's and 80's, Peter played along side other good guitar players. Eric did eventually settle nicely (I think) into his guitar-hero role, although he remains humble about it.
I wonder when the last time Pete and Eric saw each other? Anyone?

they both played at the royal albert hall for the one generation 4 another concert in early 2004, very soon after pete left the splinter group.
