I guess strumming isn't the right word then.
So somebody tell me what on Earth to call that rapid-fire
plinka-plinka-plinka-plinka-plinka-plinka/plunka-plunka-plunka-plunka-plunka-plunka thing he does where he plays the same note six or seven times before moving onto the next note, which he also hits six or seven times.
In some songs it works brilliantly, but sometimes it doesn't compliment the vocal melody at all and ends up sounding like the musical equivalent of rubbing your tummy and patting your head.
