...but it was the "B-side". Now, if they would've marketed it a bit, maybe. Again, you have to remember that "hit radio" only played 3 (or shorter) minute songs..."Silver Springs" clocked in at over 5...and other than "Hey Jude", "American Pie", & "Light My Fire", there really haven't been "Hit singles" that were over 5 minutes in length. "Hey Jude" was the only one of the three that didn't get "edited", but the DJ would talk over and crossfade into the next song well before the song actually ended. So, there was a definite bias against those long songs...and then from a GIRL singer? Wasn't going to happen.
