^^^That's my story, except the owner didn't want to pay the insurance on the pool, so it had been bulldozed in.
And my "hotel"(room) rent was $170/month. I worked at a convenience store, and sneaked the expired, throwaway sandwiches home, so I always had food. TOO many sandwiches!
