As curious as I am about hearing how would the band sound
without Christine's songs, her music brought FM a very characteristic sound, and a ballance to all the poetic, enigmatic and elliptical sounds that Stevie brings and the rocking experimentation that Lindsey does. The 'sweet' side, the 'pop' side of Fleetwood Mac will not be present... and that is surely going to be missed.
And a detail... most of the 'greatest hits' (at least here in South America) of Fleetwood Mac, are Christine songs. The only Stevie song we get in the radio is "Sara" (maybe "Dreams"), and Lindsey gets played with "Big Love"... all the rest is pure Christine. Let's just hope her absence does not affect the commercial aspect of the new album, which as 'cold hearted' as it may seem, it is still an important aspect to consider...
Anyway... good to hear Lindsey and Stevie with "the great rhythm section" (well expressed, macfan57), but still... I would like to hear Chris too.
