I think that's an old Kingston Trio number. Dave Guard or someone had just died (?), & Lindsey included the song as a tribute to him & to them.

I don't think he was vehemently opposed. He was just trying to find a sympatico guy for that particular project. Just because you don't want to work with a particular mixer or producer or whatever for a specific project doesn't at all mean you hate that person's work. I think Lindsey has a lot of respect for Lord-Algae on the mixing board.
