About Part 3, it's basically a homage to Italian melo, looks as a whole as an excercise of style IMO, and the fact that Coppola filled it with some obscure facts of Italian recent history, made it inconsisent for non Italian audiences. Besides the film started on the wrong note, since Coppola had to use his daughter instead of Winona Ryder who had a bad nervous breakdown just few days before shooting. I still like some parts though, like the end. He's Homerus, when he wants to. The problem is that in the last few years he preferred to work for the money.

Mr Caan was very convincing indeed. My friend, whos a real buff of these movies, said that was the worst part of part 3, the fact that Sophia Coppola was in it.
