I hated the L.A. earthquake, I hated living out of a suitcase, I hated flying -- I mean how many paranoias do you want? There were tiny moments onstage when you’d get that feeling of magic but otherwise you were just going through the motions. I just started to feel a little dizzy under the lights, to be honest. The vibration of the boards, the volume and the heat, they started to make me feel a little unwell. I’d just had enough. I just didn’t want to have any of that noise any more.”

Here's another quote from the Hello Goodbye article in Mojo Magazine around the same time.

"I also thought that we, as Fleetwood Mac, had had our time and written our best songs. That may not be true, and now I'll never know, but after 25 years service and the death of my father, it was the time to move on."

I think she did feel that the band was well past their peak, which I agree with. But, I don't think it was just because of the 40 shows during Dance tour. She seemed to feel that way after Behind the Mask years earlier.
Wow, that was eye opening... I guess you are right, she probably felt after BTM tour that was the downturn... or she was just jaded from all of it...

I know hearing the live SYW tracks make me cringe... it sounds really awful to my ears....
