You're right, this is very simple and unforced. Not sure it's better, though. It could be more passionate.

like the big vocal from Stevie. And the medium vocal from Laura.
Actually, out of all three I think Laura's hits the target best. She adds the most believable pathos to the song, IMO. It's not too much or too little. The porridge is just right. Not over or under sung. Etc.
I do like all three, though - thanks for posting.
