Tho I'm not so sure it ever made it to Billboard 100, their most popular song may have been "Can't Find My Way Home" with Steve Winwood on vocals. Ric Grech was on bass, Eric Clapton on guitar and Ginger Baker on drums. And they did only do one album which was released in 1969. These guys were or had been in other groups and formed BF as kind of a side project. Lyrics to Can't Find below and album cover(s) attached.
It's a very haunting melody and vocals.
Come down off your throne and leave your body alone.
Somebody must change.
You are the reason I've been waiting so long.
Somebody holds the key.
But I'm near the end and I just ain't got the time
And I'm wasted and I can't find my way home. (this was always our favorite line which we would sing at the top of our lungs)
Come down on your own and leave your body alone.
Somebody must change.
You are the reason I've been waiting all these years.
Somebody holds the key.
Chorus
But I can't find my way home.
But I can't find my way home.
But I can't find my way home.
But I can't find my way home.
Still I can't find my way home,
And I ain't done nothing wrong,
But I can't find my way home.
