Definitely. Coincidentally, I just watched a NOVA special about that a few months ago. They explained it in a very simplistic way, though, which was both irritating and something that made string theory seem so obviously right that I was shocked anyone
didn't believe it.
I love PBS. Because I would probably never read a book on string theory.
