Taste of Chicago is an annual event where a bunch of restaurants from all over the city set up booths all around Grant Park, and you go and buy tickets which you can redeem for food at all the different booths, and meanwhile there's a main stage where bands play, and anybody in the city can walk by and catch a performance for free. So it's not like she bought a ticket for an Elvis Costello concert just to hear "Alison;" she probably just came into the city for the Taste and hoped to catch some of his set while she was there.
