The roast itself was awesome - the Helen Thomas video notsomuch. But it was great to see Shrub have to sit there and squirm, and Laura make sour faces and purse her lips until they almost sucked inside her head.
I watched the coverage on MSNBC Sat. night, and they did a split-screen in which half stayed on Colbert, and half focused on who was making the ugliest face. It was amazing and hilarious to watch.
It was also great that Joe Wilson and Valerie Plame - oops, I'm sorry I mean "Joe Wilson's wife"
- were there, just feet away and laughing their ASSES off the whole time.
