Let me start by saying that I don't believe in censorship.
However, Walmart, Blockbuster and other retail outlets have the right to sell what they deem "appropriate." Brokeback is not the first film, book or CD that has been banned from their retail outlets. Plenty of others (gay subject matter or not).
The best thing to do, as a consumer, is not to support their values by shopping at their retail stores. Ever. Do not give them a dime. I know it's easy to bitch and moan but still go ahead and buy low priced products.
You really want to take action? Write their corporate headquarters, state your view and again never shop there. Ever. No matter what. Probably won't make any difference. But at least you took action.
