I was in a pub once and some guy bumped into me and said, "F***ing hell, it's John Lennon!" and several people have said much the same, perhaps without the expletive. I don't really see it, but my brother was accosted at the races once by a girl who asked for his autograph - he'd had similar experiences to me, so he signed as Julian Lennon and the girl was ecstatic
