How am I different?
Some people said they're not into all the drama behind the band members' lives. Well, I'm not into all the drama and bitchiness that goes on between some of the posters on this board. It never fails, when I get into reading a long thread, sooner or later someone will take personal offense at something somebody said and I have to wade through many "war of words" posts to get to the good posts that stay on the subject. Can't we just stick to talking about Fleetwood Mac?
Another way I'm different, I think, is that I'm pretty disgusted by the drug and alcohol abuse that has gone on within the band for years. (Not just the band, but everyone around them and the music industry as a whole.) It's not glamorous; it's a waste of health, time and money. The ultimate example of this for me was when I got a backstage pass to meet Lindsey after and Out of the Cradle concert and he was so wasted he couldn't talk coherently, couldn't even say "hello." These people have been so blessed, yet they have very little self control or common sense when it comes to what they put into their bodies.
