And, I will contend that there's absolutely no way a composer of a song can cover his own song...sure, somebody else may RELEASE their version of the song first, but the composer's version is NEVER a "cover". Another example, and again a George Harrison song..."Run So Far" was recorded & released by Eric Clapton in 1990...George Harrison's version wasn't released until after his death on his posthumous Brainwashed album. Nonetheless, Eric's version is the "cover"...George's is the original. Always was, always will be.
One thing's for sure, he couldn't have done it any worse.
I think ABC should've stuck with their original decision and told Lindsey to "shove it" instead of let him on the air with that pile o' stinky crap.
If I'd have been in the studio, he'd have been wearing that Renaissance around his neck.
