The problem, though, is that they would only have a few, rare blues moments, so it's really hard to say they wouldn't have been a great blues band. I think Lindsey's playing on that little bit of blues is MUCH more interesting than the solo that followed on "Don't Stop." I find that many guitar solos from the "Rumours" era to be dull, bland, and sterile, and what that little blues clip showed is that they didn't ave to be. I hate to use Clapton as an example, but he was able to put a great, blues inspired solo in his pop tunes. It IS possible. And, I know a lot of guys who wish they could sound half as good playing blues as Lindsey sounded there.
