you're right, except for this: you DO see some Americans protesting this Administration, this war, and various other bad acts by our government. Not all of us are silent and there are some among us who do hold this corrupt Government accountable, unfortunately we are ignored)

Well, true. But we've been allowed these rights historically. We really have no way to identify with with some of the citizens of the Middle Eastern countries. We might feel our protests are ignored...but our families aren't tortured and slaughtered for it.
