I actually agree with most of this. I don't think it is the intention of say the Catholic Church to advocate violence towards gays/lesbians in ANY WAY! But I think, like you said...some people just can't handle that "demonization" and feel that somehow in their warped minds they are doing a "good deed". But I don't know whether to blame this on religion or just nutcases?
