She understands the reality of the religiosity of West Virginia. She talked about that last night. She was urging Byrd to have some balls and stick to his committment to the integrity of the Senate and go out with a bang- i.e. forget about getting re-elected at his advanced age. It ain't gonna happen, but at lease she can desire for it to happen.

She has blinders on when it comes to anything involving the Democrats. Her ferocious support for Hillary Clinton is downright comical. I'm curious as to why she's urging a member of the Gang of 14 to support a filibuster of Alito in the first place. Byrd agreed to only filibustering nominees under "extraordinary circumstances," and with his conservative track record (to the point where he was considered for a post on the Supreme Court by Nixon), it's silly to think that he sees any of the current cirumstances or anything about Alito to be "extraordinary" enough to warrant a filibuster. She was urging the wrong man to "have some balls."
