Ah, Jamie, I'm so sorry. My sister-in-law had to do the same thing for her 16 year old cat on Thursday night. My poor niece is devastated - she's never known life without that cat!

On a humorous (well, I hope it stays humorous...) note, I came home from work yesterday & found a few things misplaced from under the tree. Actually, they were across the room & torn to shreds. Bubba. We've never had any problems with him doing this until recently, but it's obvious that I can't take any chances anymore with him out of his crate while we're out

So, I'm picking up the torn-up gift bag & I can't locate what was inside of it - a pair of Isotoner suede ladies driving gloves. I have looked everywhere, high & lo, in & out, up & down. I fear they ended up in his belly. The main reason I think this is they are GONE! I've looked litereally everywhere. The only reason I think they may not be inside of my bad boy is that there was literally NO evidence of these gloves being chewed/eaten/ripped up/ etc. There's just...nothing. No thread. No fuzz. No tiny black pieces of them. Nothing. Weird. Also, He's acting completely normal, not the slightest bit uncomfortable, eating & drinking & peeing & pooping fine & his belly's soft.

I'm so worried, Boxers are known for GI problems. Of course, they're also known for eating all kinds of stuff & passing it without a problem. Vet said not to worry, just watch him. I guess it's all I can do. Good thing we got my SIL a gift in addition to those gloves (which I would be way more upset about losing if I hadn't gotten them for only $4.50 ) I just hope that we don't end up at the doggy ER this weekend.
