I don't know many people who CAN laugh at themselves during the lowest point in their lives. When someone is truly miserable, usually the first thing to go is their ability to find their situation humourous. That's why it's a
low point, after all.
But I think the fact that she was able to pull herself back from that, and make amends with the people she hurt, shows a lot about her character.
