There's a doctor I work with who's constantly saying rude stuff & I don't know if she doesn't realize it or doesn't care.
To a nurse practitioner: "well, you wouldn't know since you're not a doctor"
While we were out at dinner:
Friend: "Hahaha, yeah, I told him 'you must have been drinking to think I looked good that night.'" laughing...
Doctor, completely serious : "Yeah, they must have been reeeaaaally drunk to think that."
My next door neighbor is constantly saying stupid things, usually racist.
"Yeah, it was that one reporter on channel 7. You know, the colored guy."
BTW, I have repeatedly told her that "colored" has not been an appropriate term since at least the 60's. She continues to say it. I hope someone slaps her one day.
"We know a colored guy, he lives in Marilla {which is a very rural area}. I give him a lot of credit." Huh? Why?
I've also had people point out to me "wow, your face is really breaking out lately." Thanks, I had no idea.
