Of course I do. Everybody's got every right to tell everybody else if their "beliefs" are wrong; god save us if that ever stops being the case. What if I told you that I believe the earth is flat and sits on the back of a giant space turtle? Or that I believe that blacks are an inferior race? Or that I believe a sentence can have only one possible meaning?

the majority of your examples are provable. or disprovable. you cannot PROVE that my belief is wrong, because it is just a standard by which I guide my own life. You can choose differently in your life, you can point out other people who do the same, but it doesnt change the fact that you cant prove me wrong for believing what I do. I believe in Reincarnation too, but you cant prove or disprove that either.....all you can do is agree or not. Very different thing altogether. You say tomato I say tomahto.

Well okay, but again, you're wrong. The extensive use of "profanity" by people far more intelligent than you or I is quite well-documented throughout history. But I'll let Jimmy Joyce and Bill Shakespeare know that you've got some concerns about their intellectual capacities.

Both of those authors wrote in the vernacular of the times. they CHOSE to portray their characters as contemporaries. I dont know how either one actually spoke in day to day discourse, and I doubt you do either. Although in the case of James Joyce, I'd bet he cussed. Most Irish do. regularly. it takes getting used to...
