i was going to say a bunch more stuff, but really it's that simple. You have reacted how you will, and others have reacted how they will.
Honestly, I think people have been very respectful given Brown eyes's past statements, opinions here.
Bless you, and I wish you were my mom, but people are going to think differently than you about this, at least at the beginning.
