I would agree with you if said case was not the monumental Supreme Court decision that was mentioned. It's not like someone brought up some esoteric ruling from the 70's or something.

My point was, even regular old people know about the Texas sodomy case- I would think those that were even tangentially involved with the legal system would be aware of such a case.
