Unfortunately, as we have seen, Brandon is exceptionally adept (and just as obvious) at one of his beloved Ms. Coulter's favorite tactics: Spout a bunch of nonsense, and then when somebody calls bull**** on it, adopt a devil-may-care "Whatever! I do what I want!" attitude by responding with a meaingless one-liner and a laugh. That way, not only do you never actually have to discuss any issues, but you completely cut off the discussion, period. Unfortunately for him, the only one he's fooling is himself. But then, he seems to be pretty good at repressing any semblance of actual thought. Maybe one day he'll actually form some of his own opinions, though; it must get pretty boring being a parrot.
