Well not so much "uneducated" as they are "misinformed" or "lied to". Not because they are black...but because they are democrats.

The comparison I'm making, and that you're ignoring, is that... if we're to follow God's Laws, as the Republicans say we should... then, in so much as that Christian beliefs dictate that ALL lives are created by God, therefore ALL lives should be respected.
It should not be a "pick and choose" situation.

I keep hearing so much about the right to life of the murderer, but what about the victim? Where was their "pick and choose" situation?

Certainly the entire Republican Party didn't beat and torture and leave Matthew Shepard for dead, but their determination to block Anti-Hate Crime laws... which would PROTECT gays and lesbians from such brutality... makes them complicit in his murder.
Any lawmaker who doesn't work to stop crime, might as well say they condone it.

And what makes you think that Republican law makers don't care about the brutal death of any person, regardless of whether they are gay or straight? The accused will be tried based upon the crime they are accused of committing. Why does there have to be "special" laws for gay and lesbian committed crimes? If we start prosecuting on the basis of these "Anti-hate crime" laws, then we can pretty much frivolously apply them to any criminal situation, right?

If guys like Rick Santorum (one of the Golden Boys of the Republican Party) had their way, we would be.
