The comparison I'm making, and that you're ignoring, is that... if we're to follow God's Laws, as the Republicans say we should... then, in so much as that Christian beliefs dictate that ALL lives are created by God, therefore ALL lives should be respected.
It should not be a "pick and choose" situation.

Certainly the entire Republican Party didn't beat and torture and leave Matthew Shepard for dead, but their determination to block Anti-Hate Crime laws... which would PROTECT gays and lesbians from such brutality... makes them complicit in his murder.
Any lawmaker who doesn't work to
stop crime, might as well say they condone it.
