Emmylou Harris
The other two are phenomenal, but they truly don't hold a candle to Emmylou. They haven't released albums that I consider to be amongst the greatest ever recorded, Emmylou has. And she has
that voice. It's angelic and it's incomparable to other female country voices. Emmylou also gets bonus points for growing as an artist and being better now than she was thirty years ago, imo. She hadn't really written her own songs until a little while back (save The Ballad of Sally Rose album), but once she started, they blew away anything written by Dolly. Michelangelo, The Pearl, Here I Am, Lost Unto This World, etc. Words cannot describe how awesome she is.
Since both Sharon and I voted for Emmylou, I expect the tradition of another artist winning to continue.
