Anyway so many of the girls in these clubs dress like Stevie (corsets, chiffon, platform boots, etc) but a lot of them refuse to acknowledge it which makes me really sad. A few months ago I was at one of the most popular goth clubs here in LA and this girl said to me, "Why do you come here? I thought you were a Fleetwood Mac girl" and it really pissed me off. As if I can't be at a goth club because I like Stevie Nicks lol. She obviously had no clue that Stevie was wearing the corset she was wearing 20 years ago while she was probably still in diapers. How ignorant can people be?
When people ask me what kind of music I like I usually say, "Stevie Nicks, Nine Inch Nails and a lot of industrial" and they look at me like I'm crazy but to me there is a total connection. The darkness, the pain, the intensity, the mysticism and symbolism, the clothes, and the BLACK!

Right on sistah!!! I used to bum around the goth scene when I lived in Pittsburgh in the 90's but since I moved here to LA it's not really my thing. I went once to a goth club around the block from me and there was so much attitude I couldn't stand it. I still like a lot of the music and could totally hear Stevie doing a cover of Spellbound by Souxisie and the Banshees. And wouldn't that be so funny and ironic after all those years of witch rumors.
