It remains to be seen. There were rumors people were trying to eat people that had dies, but there has been no concrete evidence of that. Also, the reports of that body, which they showed with another body - both under a sheet or sorts, were that it appeared to have been altered/mutilated after death. What the means is unclear. Also, if the body had been dead long enought, any post death injuries, sores, etc. could be distorted and - after awhile, the limbs could fall off, esp., considering the 100 degress weather and these bodies were carried through debris, etc. In the end and although an autopsy is the only way to know for sure, many people saw this body and reported that it appeared mutilated.
There is, however, a remote chance a vodoo ritual was performed on this body, many of which are not intended to be a bad thing, though the severing of limbs is not really part of that deal.
