It's no secret that he's queer, I just don't understand why he has to publicly state his sexuality.
If he was trying to hide it, he wouldn't be out and about with other guys, going to gay clubs, and attending Scissor Sisters concerts. I don't think he has to come right out and say "Yes, I like dudes." Straight anchors don't give interviews proclaiming their heterosexual preferences.
