It was sad when Sim's died, And cannot imagine what his brother Kyle went through....Every once in awhile the surviving members (Shandon Sahm-Drums, Dave Derrick-Vocals, Jared "Syn" Tuten-Guitar & Kyle Ellison-Guitar) will get together and play a show, Though it's been a couple of years since the last get-together.

I became close with the Ellison brothers and Dave Derrick way back in the late 80's. At the time, I had my own radio show on KSYM and I played PARIAH constantly - and had them as my on air guest's a few times - giving them mega exposure in San Antonio. Getting a credit on their TO MOCK A KILLINGBIRD cd is something I am very proud of. I loved them. I believed in them.
Sims was one of the sweetest guys I have ever known. His death was something that shook me to the core. There really isn't a day that goes by when I don't think about him. I did, in fact, name one of my cats after him.
Sims was a total doll. I loved him...
Renee was, at the time, a budding actress and she was a sweet girl just starting out in her career. Its mind blowing what she has accomplished.
Livia, you know me too well...yes, I still have phone messages with her on tape. LOL I love the fact that when she wins any kind of award, that she always thanks Sims. He supported her completely.
BTW, Jared recorded the entire CRUEL & GENTLE THINGS release by Charlie Sexton -- which is my current obsession. Just gorgeous.
(Dont get me started on those Sexton boys...)
