The lyrics, the music, the arrangement, and her voice all make this song a true classic IMO. As someone said earlier the others versions are boring in comparision and don't convey nearly the emotion that this one does.
My very favorite part of the song is the last 1 1/2 minutes when it's just that particular guitar part (doo doo doo doo lol) and her beautiful voice singing "IIIIIIII turned around and the water was closing around me" doo doo doo doo. Sometimes I just listen to that part over and over. You know what part I'm talking about? |

I agree with eveything that you just said! I have played this song for many a "non-stevie fan" or a "never herd of her" or a "used to listen to her, but she changed styles in the 80's" and it has so far ALWAYS been met with a positive response. Then they want to hear more!
