The epideral didn't work for me, for my first baby the labor was induced because of toxemia. 38.5 hours of labor + 3 hours of pushing! It was all worth it though, the thing is no matter how much it hurts you're willing to fight, and a few months later I started thinking about having another one

Never specify a preference! I went so far as to put a sign on the baby's bedroom door that said "Cynthia's Room" needless to to say
his name is not Cynthia! LOL! A friend of mine who is 22 has
3 boys, she kept trying because she wanted a girl! And wants to try again! Another friend was dead set on a boy...you guessed it, 2 girls. Her husbands family was also dead set on a boy and bought the baby
all boy stuff. The girl was a cross dresser for the first two years of her life, and they still buy her boy stuff! I could go on, but you get the picture, LOL!
