When I named Sara, I made D*MN sure that her name, to say it all out loud, flowed right. I even made sure here initials were right. If I had given her my maiden name, here initials would have been SNM. Think about it for a minute.
Ultimately, she took her dad's last name, and her initials are SNJ.
