Well, I would have to agree that the "c" word should most definitely not be used either.
It seems to me that there are many "minor" slang words that are generally "acceptable" these days, but there are still many that should be avoided.
A good rule of thumb, is that if you wouldn't use it in mixed company, you shouldn't use it here.
Of course, if you would use some of these words in mixed company, maybe you should re-think that!
