The very idea that Phelps and his cronies (mostly made up of his own brainwashed and indentured children & grandchildren) picket FUNERALS is something that has always sickened me.
Being the person I am, I've always tried to find at least some understanding of where the "other side" is coming from, or a respect for the fact that they're standing up for their principles... but what Phelps does is absolutely immoral. And now this.
I cannot believe more people aren't up in arms about his actions. But maybe now that he's gone past picketing the funerals of homosexuals to picketing the funerals of our soldiers, it will finally open more eyes.
Robertson, Falwell and Phelps are impotent old men who've lost all touch with society, and are desperately grasping at the last vestiges of their past relevance by saying and doing whatever it takes to get themselves even a fleeting taste of that attention they so crave.
And all in the name of God.
As I've often said, if there is indeed a Heaven, then some people are in for an extremely rude awakening.
