My favorite Celine Dion Sucks Moment was during the rehearsals for the first VH1 Divas Live. Carole King (who is the complete opposite of Celine Dion) was sitting at the piano rehearsing "You've Got A Friend" with Celine, Gloria Estafan, and Shania Twain. In the midst of rehearsing, Carole decides to go over a particular vocal part- Celine decides to do her typical over-emoting by taking the phrase and adding multiple-gymnastics-notes and Carole stops her dead her tracks and says, "No, no, no- just one note. Not a lot of notes- just one note." You could tell that Carole was irritated by the whole thing. |
