Since you've already tried the other approach, you're right to now find a way to cut ties. Despite how my comments were construed/twisted, I wasn't telling you to put up with her at the sake of your own peace and happiness. Just wanted to offer a reminder that some people need a little extra patience and understanding.
But you've given her that and it didn't work, so now's the time to move on.
