Like I said, it doesn't bother me. The little neighbor girls who watch them sometimes when we go away think it's gross. Violet does like to drink water out of the tap, too. Like when I run a bath for my daughter Violet is right there drinking out of the spigot. Then she plays with the tub toys.

My cat won't drink out of a bowl. No matter how clean it is. He would rather drink from the toilet or get in the tub and lick up drips of water after someone takes a shower. Kinda gross, but what can you do?
