It's true what they say about crashes... you've got about 90 seconds to get your ass off the plane. After that, your chances of survival are slim.

Did you ever participate in the evacuation drills? I saw them on tv once. It was horrifying to see people climbing over the seats on the wing exit doors
Even more horrifying would be to have that happen on the CRJ's, where the aisle is like 30 incehes wide
Fortunately, I try to sit in the emergency row all of the time when I am not upgraded to First.
