I was referring to the fact that the whole basis for the movie was based on the director's childhood fear of the Wendigo.

It was Miles, the kid, using the legend of the Wendigo to "explain" and put a face on the things that he was too afraid of facing and dealing with. The prospect of a crazy hick shooting his father in cold blood wasn't something that he was prepared to deal with, so he put a mask on it, in the form of the Wendigo. The scene where George said people make up certain things to understand the world better did a perfect job of conveying it.

But then the whole thing with the hick crashing his car and the native american dude who "wasn't there".

A little too much of a Stephen King ripoff if you ask me.

The fact that all of it was so vague enthralled me, personally.

Meh.

Understandable. Didn't you say recently that the thought of having sex with a woman made you ralph?

Actually, in the grossout thread Curtis mentioned that naked women grossed him out. I concurred. {blecchhhh} But, yes, the thought of having sex with a woman REALLY grossses me out...
