I tend to agree with you on this. I recall the whole request for the trailer out front of Lindsey's house while they recorded (when she would show up) -- unfortunately, what she wouldn't know until much later, it really made her the outsider. I can just imagine Lindsey being at his wits end trying to piece it all together and feeling that once again, it's left on his shoulders. Of course, knowing Lindsey as we all do, he wouldn't want it any other way
