No, it was a very disturbing movie. The girl who wrote it pulled from her own life. Unlike us, she was into that stuff at 13. The whole scene with the two of them huffing and then slapping the **** out of each other .... good grief
I think she's written two other films since Thirteen and she's not even out of high school. She's come a long way from her inner-city days.
