I'm certainly not going to argue with you about James Taylor's voice or Lionel Ritchie (for the record "All Night Long" is the ONLY Ritchie song I like or can even tolerate). We can at least agree on that much.
Phil Collins always came across to me as being more silly than sappy.
Anyway, one of the first albums (the second one, to be exact) I ever owned was Genesis' "We Can't Dance." I think I was like 11 when that came out. I pretty much grew up on Phil/Genesis so I guess it's kind of a sentimental attachment.
