I'll be 22 on the 1st of September. I've only been carded once and that's only because I was with people in their mid 20s who looked like they were in their teens  I remember back a few years ago (I was about 19 at the time), I went to DSW with my mother. I was wearing jeans, heels, a black blazer and a red cami. Some woman came up to me as I was browsing and said, "you're like, what? 30?...do you think these are too young for us to wear?" I looked at my mom and laughed. I told her I was only 19 but they weren't "too young" for her. She apologized profusely.
I think a lot of it has to do with how you're raised and as you know (I think), i'm an only child. I've always hung around an older crowd and not with people my own age and I think it's shaped who I am -- for better or worse!  |
Actually, I think you look mature, too. So does Tiff. It's not that you look old at all, you look very pretty, and your skin and everything looks young, you just have that mature air about you.
My friend is like that, too. It's kind of neat, she could do lots of stuff when she was young cause people thought she was older. She's black, though, so her skin quality doesn't tell anything, she just has that "mature, wise, responsible" kind of vibe. Either way you are very pretty, so...
